Lost and Stolen Cards Emergency Services
Depending on where you travel, you'll find that there are always risks. From pick-pockets to petty thieves, it's best to know what do if things don't go to plan.
If your ANZ credit card is lost or stolen immediately contact:
ANZ Lost and Stolen Emergency Services on reverse charges (via international operator) by telephoning +61 3 9683 7043.
We will immediately close your account and open a new account for you. If you wish, a new credit card/s can be couriered at a cost of $50 to ensure you get your new card quickly.
Keep in mind the cost and timing of card delivery if you are travelling from one destination to another. Please ensure you nominate a delivery address and overseas contact number for the courier. For security purposes, your PIN number will follow within three working days.
If you're travelling for a considerable length of time, it's worthwhile arranging for regular transactions to be redirected to your new credit card account number.
If your Customer Registration Number (CRN) for ANZ Internet Banking is the same number as your old ANZ credit card, you will need to reset this to continue access to ANZ Internet Banking. Contact ANZ Internet Banking on + 61 3 9683 8833.
Emergency cash advances
To arrange an emergency cash advance of up to US $5,000 if your credit card is stolen, call 1800 033 844 in Australia. If you are calling from overseas, please contact an international operator and request to be connected to + 61 3 9683 7043 and reverse the charges.
ANZ Travel Card lost and stolen card support
If your ANZ Travel Card is lost or stolen, contact us immediately on +613 9683 7777 to suspend your card. An overseas emergency replacement card can also be sent to you at a cost of $35. We recommend that you keep your primary and backup cards in different locations so that if one is lost or stolen you can continue to access your money with the second card.
