Keeping up credit card repayments while you're away

While you're overseas, it's easy to forget that you have to make the minimum monthly payment on your credit card each month. It's important to remember this, otherwise you will incur a late payment fee, and your account could be closed to further transactions.

You can take the hassle out of making manual payments on your ANZ credit card by simply using one of the following automated payment facilities:

  • Transferring funds from a linked account using ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ Phone Banking or ANZ Mobile Phone Banking.
  • Setting up CardPay Direct, which will automatically debit either the full closing balance, (excluding any repayments on Promotional Plans not yet due), the minimum monthly payment or a set amount from a nominated account (including transaction accounts at most other Australian financial institutions). To set up CreditPay Direct, please call 13 22 73 or click here.
  • Setting up 'Pay Credit Card' on ANZ Internet Banking to make regular monthly payments for either the full closing balance, the minimum monthly payment or a set monthly amount from a linked ANZ account.
