MasterCard® SecureCode™

MasterCard SecureCode is designed to protect you against the unauthorised use of your MasterCard while shopping at participating merchants online.

Once you have enrolled in MasterCard SecureCode, your MasterCard will be recognised as being SecureCode enabled. When you make an online transaction with a participating SecureCode merchant, it will activate a two way confirmation:

  • When your Personal Message is correctly displayed, this indicates that you are able to authenticate your password with ANZ. You then enter your MasterCard SecureCode password to confirm your identity.
  • When the correct password has been entered, this will confirm your identity and the purchase will be completed.
