Using ATMs overseas

To access cash while overseas, simply make a withdrawal from any ATM displaying the Visa/ PLUS symbol if you have a Visa card, or the Maestro/Cirrus symbol if you have a MasterCard®.

Be aware that some overseas ATMs might not allow you to access linked accounts, i.e. choose between transaction and credit card accounts. If your cards are linked, these ATMs may automatically debit your credit card account and you could be charged an overseas cash advance fee.

If you want to make a withdrawal from your linked transaction account at an ATM that doesn’t allow you to select accounts, you can do this by using your ANZ Access card. Carrying the extra card will help you to stay in control of your funds while overseas.
