Access to your funds overseas
Managing your credit card funds while overseas is much easier than most people think. The key is to set yourself up before you go with a PIN, ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ Phone Banking or ANZ Mobile Phone Banking and by finding out how ATMs operate overseas when using Australian cards.
You might need a PIN overseas
Many countries now have security chip technology and require a PIN instead of a signature.
Take more than one card
Some overseas ATMs may not let you access linked accounts, i.e. choose between transaction and credit card accounts. To avoid this problem, take a sperate transaction account card, like an ANZ Access card or an ANZ Everyday Visa Debit card, as well as your credit card.
Backup funds
Take different forms of funds like foreign currency, an ANZ Travel Card or travellers' cheques in case one of your cards is lost or stolen.
Access to your funds and using ATMs overseas
Be aware that you could incur overseas cash advance fees when making withdrawls from ATMs. Some ATMs may also not let you access linked accounts.
